A bit about Sam...
Sam began travelling around Southern Africa from the age of nine months in a Renault 4L, starting at Victoria Falls. A stint at Iziko involved shooting portraits of ammonites
interspersed with frequent sojourns to Dyer Island (Gansbaai) and Bird Island (Alexandria) to
assist with Great White Shark behavioural research (Shark Research Centre, Iziko).
Stowing away on a square-rigger, Endeavour, she became a ruffy-tuffy sailor plying the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. More recently she crewed on INSPIRE! Yacht '2041' with LoveLife sailors for the first leg of the Circumnavigation of Africa, an inspirational voyage to raise environmental and HIV/Aids awareness in Africa. She is now navigating the far less turbulent waters of writing for SafariNow.com.
