Longridge Restaurant will create scrumptious picnic baskets with a bottle of wine of your choice, music ensemble String Along will soothe the senses, while Mother Nature will set the scene with a spectacular view of the Peninsula.
The picnic hamper will showcase the Longridge restaurant’s culinary philosophy of using seasonal produce sourced from their own garden or local suppliers. Tantalise your taste buds with delectable treats such as a roasted tomato tart with mozzarella and rocket, seared beef fillet with Dijon mustard, roasted Petit Poisson (spring chicken), a vegetarian pasta salad, slices of marinated Franschhoek trout, chicken liver pate and a selection of cheeses served with sesame crackers, pickles, olives, preserves, cherry tomatoes and cucumber strips with freshly baked baguettes. Finish your romantic interlude with the fruit of love – fresh strawberries with Longridge’s sumptuous chocolate brownies.
Each couple can select one bottle of wine (Longridge Brut, Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon) to go with their meal. Further wine purchases can be done from Longridge’s newly revamped tasting room.
