Varanasi

As one of Hinduism's seven holy cities and one of oldest cities in the world, Varanasi is a sensory overload and not for the faint-hearted. This frenzied city is the throbbing heart of Hinduism; it’s the place where pilgrims come to bathe in the sacred waters of the Ganges or cremate their loved ones near the riverside ghats. Most of Varanasi’s attractions and accommodation are found here on the western bank in the old city.
