The Glen Reenen Rest Camp is situated close to the Golden Gate Hotel & Chalets and offers rondavels, longdavels and guest cottages.
For nature lovers who prefer to get a bit closer to the natural environment, caravan and camping sites are also on the list.

Activities you may want to explore at the Golden Gate Highlands National Park:
• Abseiling is on offer at the Wilgenhof Educational Centre. The activity is guided by certified guides. Pre-booking, with a minimum 24 hours’ notice, is essential.
• Canoeing is available on the Gladstone Dam for groups of 4 - 20 guests. The activity is guided by experienced guides. Pre-booking, with a minimum 24 hours notice, is essential.
• Game Drives: The Park has two self-drive loops that are tarred and well maintained. Four-wheel drive vehicles are not required for these drives. Remember to observe the speed limit of 30 km/h.
• Games: A selection of court and board games is on offer at the Golden Gate Hotel.
• Hiking: Ribbok Hiking Trail, Cathedral Cave Hike, Wodehouse Hike, Mushroom Rock Hike, Eco-Ravine Hike, Boskloof Hike, Holkrans Hike and Brandwag Rock Hike.
• Horse Riding is available at the Gladstone Stables. Guided rides that are dependent on the weather. Pre-booking is essential. Helmets are provided. Note: Our horses have a rest day on Mondays.
• Swimming: A natural rock pool is situated at the Glen Reenen Rest Camp, where visitors can swim.

Rates do not include meals unless specifically indicated otherwise. Rates include 1% Community Levy, but exclude daily conservation fees. These are to be paid directly to camp on arrival.
SANParks have implemented a 1% Community Levy charge on all reservations (overnight and activity products) from 1 June 2012. This will be used to fund projects that support surrounding communities in bettering their livelihoods.
All accommodation, ablution and kitchen facilities are serviced by cleaning staff on a daily basis unless specifically indicated otherwise.
Several parks and rest-camps have retail facilities and restaurants. Vehicle fuel is available in several parks (or is available on the park periphery) and in the main rest camps in Kruger and Kgalagadi.
Bedding is supplied in all accommodation unless specifically indicated otherwise. Cooking utensils and refrigeration are provided in most accommodation units, unless specifically indicated otherwise.
