Anse La Farine Cottage is nestled amongst the greenery of the Baie St Anne on the island of Praslin. The lovely self-catering cottage is perfect for two people, however a boathouse is also available for a family with older children, just 15 m away.

The cottage bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and the modern en-suite bathroom has a shower. A full mosquito net is available, while a ceiling fan provides a cool breeze inside the cottage. The boathouse is furnished with two single beds and does not have its own bathroom facilities, these are shared with the cottage. Linen, and both bath and beach towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, two-plate stove, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as cutlery and crockery. Tea and coffee facilities are also provided.

Chairs and tables as well as loungers are provided on the patio to enjoy sunset cocktails in paradise, and loungers and umbrellas are provided on the private beach. The unspoilt private beach is 20 metres from the cottage and the water in the bay is safe and warm, providing abundant viewing opportunities when snorkelling. A canoe is also readily available for paddling around the bay.

Pascal, the caretaker, and his wife, Sheila, live on the property and can provide guests with most services. Both are excellent cooks and at an additional rate, they will happily prepare a typical Creole meal for you. Cleaning of the cottage can be arranged with Sheila, and Pascal will be able to take you around the various sightseeing attractions in his motorboat. Fees for these services have to be discussed directly with Pascal and Sheila.

There are many island excursions available and can be booked at the main jetty in Praslin. A day at La Digue island is an absolute must. Here guests can visit the beach at Grand Anse, the giant tortoise sanctuary or vanilla plantation. Bicycles can be hired at about SR200 a day and you can easily cycle around most of the island during the course of the day. The Vallei de Mai on Praslin is a World Heritage Site, where you can enjoy the majestic splendour of the forest.

Accessible only by boat, the cottage makes for an ideal honeymoon or holiday destination. At Anse La Farine Cottage, guests can relax and enjoy the balmy breeze through the palm trees and the crashing of waves on the shore, with the only visitors a couple of mosquitoes and one or two geckos.
