Maqueda Lodge is a 4 Star luxury boutique lodge that offers the highest standard of service in a tranquil and exclusive private venue. Bordering the Kruger National Park, this family-run lodge only has six rooms with plush and beautifully decorated interiors.

You can expect to have all kinds of visitors during your stay, as an abundance of wild animals roam freely. There are more than 300 species of birds and abundant wildlife in a nature conservation area of 5000 hector. This shares roughly 17 km of Crocodile River border with the Kruger National Park.

Maqueda Lodge allows you to be absorbed by the peace and tranquility of the African bush while enjoying high standards of comfort and service. Surrounded by the bush, you can relax on wooden decks or cool down in the splash pool while enjoying a refreshing drink. Book an exiting game drive in the open 4x4 game vehicle in the Kruger National Park, so prepare for an experience of a lifetime.

African Safari: Lounge on the open decks and see the wild animals pass by. Reserve a half or full day hiking or night drive in the Kruger National Park.

The lodge is very nice and the atmosphere is really romantic; the owners are very kind and do anything possible to make you enjoy your stay. Etienne and his mother are excellent chefs! The Kruger Park is about 30 minutes away and Marloth itself is a park where you can meet giraffe, zebra and monkeys. When you are travelling during winter, remember that in the rooms there is no heating.

We spent 6 fantastic nights at Maqueda Lodge and enjoyed every minute - this really is a very, very special place to stay! I have been to a few upmarket lodges in the Kruger area, but I have never ever experienced anything like Maqueda Lodge. The lodge was beautifully and creatively decorated. It was all very clean. The rooms were comfortable and had both an indoor and an outdoor shower. One morning I was taking a shower outside, while lions were roaring on the background!!!
