Description
We border on the Table Mountain National Park in the back garden and have spurfowl, guinea fowl, mongoose, field mice, red belly tortoise and porcupine as regular visitors. The Glencairn Wetlands down the road has lovely walks and there is a troop of resident baboons in our mountain area and loads of hiking trails.
The Faerie Crossing is an elegant self-catering flat with a separate entrance. The flat has one bedroom with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is a well-equipped kitchenette with a hob, microwave and a small fridge-freezer. The open-plan lounge has a TV, a DVD player and a dining area which leads onto a small patio with a portable braai. We are able to place an air mattress in the lounge to accommodate two extra children.
We are 800 m from Glencairn Beach - easy walking distance to a beach with tidal pool and train station. Come swim with the penguins at Boulders, and Kalk Bay Harbour is 5 km away, as well as Simons Town, Kommetjie and Imhoff's Farm. You can easily start exploring the wine route from here as we have the Cape Point Vineyard which is possibly best known for their Splattered Toad wine - donations go to saving the leopard toad. Do not miss the display of southern right whales when they stay in our bay to mate and calf.
