With its summery, gleaming white, the geometric architecture of Villa Afrikana is already quite a sight. The stylish interior is just as defined in the same perfect white.

A modern, unpretentious interior gives the compact Villa Afrikana a surprisingly open feel to its rooms. Look out for the cleverly placed objects and eye-catching artworks by local artist Neil Nieuwoudt.

The Villa encloses six suites, specifically designed for panoramic views, spaciousness and comfort.

All suites enjoy fantastic views over the Knysna Heads and surrounding Lagoon. Reputably they are some of the most spacious suites in Knysna and the Garden Route with combined sleeping and seating area averaging 32 square meters of living space.

Each suite also features a comfortably furnished and very spacious luxury bathroom with under-floor heating and double washbasin.

Depending on which suite you reserve, you’ll be resting in a comfortable queen size or even king-size double beds.

Additionally, some of the suites hold further revelations such as a private balcony/terrace or even a hydro massage tub for instance.

Villa Afrikana is a wonderful place up on the hill in Knysna with a beautiful view over the Lagoon. The breakfasts on our balcony overlooking the lagoon and Kynsna Heads were awesome. We could choose each evening how wed like our breakfast on the next day. The service was excellent with attentive staff. Our room (Owners Suite) had a private entrance with a staircase to the patio. The room was light and clean and had a very elegant interior. Bianca and Ross were perfect hosts.

Our stay-over at Villa Afrikana was unforgettable. The hosts made us feel welcome from the time we pulled into their driveway and up to the point we eventually (and sadly) had to depart. Never before had we stayed at a place this luxurious, where our hosts made us feel like we truly belonged (even though you tend to feel like the venue is suited for royalty). This place is like a design boutique guest house where we were served breakfast on our balcony each morning overlooking the knysna lagoon. The room was spotless and very well kitted out. The bathroom was huge and full of lovely scented creams and bath soaps/shampoos. Bianca and Ross were very hospitable hosts - would definitely come back again. The location is great too - just a few minutes drive away from the restaurants and islands. A perfect spot to relax in Knysna!
