Zambezi Trader

Description

The Zambezi Trader is a luxury passenger ship situated on one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes - Lake Kariba on the Zambezi River between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It can carry up to 200 guests on a day trip, or sleep 50 guests in its 24 cabins.

The vessel comprises 16 twin en-suite cabins with large windows above each bed; two bunk cabins sleeping four guests each; a large double en-suite cabin; two deluxe cabins with large private decks and entertainment areas with minibars; and three double cabins with private side decks.

A spacious pool deck with comfortable lounging has plenty of space for various activities and sunbathing. The infinity pool is situated in the front centre of B deck. There is a small conference and games room equipped with a data projector and sound system. The lounge and bar are equipped with a decent sound system for the dance floor; spacious bar counters and lots of comfortable seating. The dining room is spacious allowing for at least 60 people with a wrap-around veranda that can seat a further 16 people.

The ship is ideal for wedding celebrations and conferences, or just a gathering of friends and family for a fabulous holiday cruise. Lake Kariba provides enthusiasts with phenomenal fishing, with its southern shore offering stunning savannah wilderness thriving with magnificent game, from frisky impala to the indomitable elephant. Most of our activities occur in the Matusadona National Park which is teeming with wildlife including elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, an abundance of various antelope and an exceptional variety of bird life.
