The Far North District Council will be closing the main Waitangi Bridge for all vehicle access from Monday, 29th of April 2019 up until and including the Friday, 3rd of May 2019 for urgent maintenance. We have attached an alternative route map for those driving to the property, as you will need to take Haruru Falls Road route to reach the hotel. During this time the bridge will still be open for foot traffic allowing access to Paihia. The hotels free shuttle will still be in service picking up from the opposite side of the bridge to take guest into Paihia. Alternatively: If you are unable to download the map could you use the alternative wording. If traveling North on State Highway 1 you will need to travel through Paihia township to the roundabout. At the Roundabout turn left onto Puketona Road, follow road till you reach Haruru Falls road, turn right. Follow road until you reach Copthorne Hotel & Resort Bay on the left. Please note some of this road is unsealed (gravel). During this time the bridge will still be open for foot traffic allowing access to Paihia.
