About Crown Hotel and Conference Centre
The Crown Hotel is situated in Ladysmith, a town in the Uthukela District of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. It is 230 kilometres north-west of Durban and 365 kilometres south of Johannesburg.
Ideally located in the centre of Ladysmith allowing easy access for all. The Hotel has its own secure on-site parking with ample loading zones at the entrance whilst one checks in and then move to your car to the secure parking area.
This hotel is family owned and has gone through a “total facelift” bringing it in line with the best properties and facilities not only in the area but in the country.
Accommodation consists of 59 tastefully and newly renovated, spacious with en-suite bedrooms consisting of double and twin rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and have the expected in room facilities of tea/coffee making amenities. Some of the superior rooms have their own fridges and microwaves.
Conferencing facilities have the state-of-the art equipment and able to accommodate up to 200 conference delegates in class room style. Conferencing rooms can be opened up so as to accommodate larger groups. We are very flexible and are able to accommodate most needs or requirements including areas for break away.
With these large facilities, weddings, functions and celebrations are a walk in the park for us and our experienced banqueting team and catering staff take events in their stride as this is our passion.
Our meals can vary from home-cooked buffet to sit down plated meals for black tie functions and anything in between.
There is an outside “chill” area close to the pond which can be used for a casual meeting, braai or formal cocktail parties for top dignitaries.
A vibrant action bar on the corner of the building lends itself decadent cocktail and theme evenings or those “bulls” parties where close accommodation is a necessity.
Friendly, efficient staff, where nothing is too much trouble and who knows that they are the hotels “biggest asset” are indeed the key to the success of this vibrant, best kept secret in Ladysmith.
