About Laaiplek Hotel

The Laaiplek Hotel is situated in the Laaiplek harbour area on the banks of the Berg River. The hotel has magnificent views of the river and bird-life in absolute abundance. The fish factory in next to the hotel, so on occasion you will be able to watch the fishing trawlers coming and going in full view.
There is single and double en-suite accommodation with private patios. Selected DStv and SABC channels.

The Eigebraai Restaurant is situated in the hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. You have the option to sit inside on a windy day or outside on the patio to enjoy the beautiful view and sunsets. Enjoy good seafood and local home-made dishes while relaxing with friends or family.

The conference and private function facilities cater for corporate functions, weddings and special events. Parking is safe and secure.

Wedding Venues: The Eigebraai Restaurant which is situated in the Laaiplek Hotel is ideal for a smaller wedding of between 30 to 60 people. Various menus with delicious dishes to choose from for your special day.

This is a pretty basic hotel but the river front facing rooms are as good as any 4 star hotel The pricing of the spacious rooms is outstanding The restuarant attached to the hotel serves the best seafood at incredibly reasonable prices and this alone is worth a visit. Overall it is outstanding vaue

We did not have a very good experience staying at Laaiplek Hotel.1. The oil heater provided did not work and it was very very cold. Even after complaining to the lady at reception it was still not replaced2. The toiler was leaking water and there was always water on the floor of the bathroom.

Accommodating and friendly staff.Great value for money room. We enjoyed the restaurant meal. The highlight was the spectacular cormarant display on their return flight from the sea in their thousands.This is seriously under marketed eco-tourism.We watched them the river mouth and from the hotel.
