‘Leeglê”, is a self- contained holiday home near the mouth of the Breëde River. “Kontiki”, Infanta is situated on the bank of the river opposite Witsand.

This holiday home is a hidden jewel that can realise your dream of a tranquil destination.

•two bedrooms with a double bed in each

•two bedrooms with two single beds in each

•one bathroom with separate toilet

•an equipped kitchen and open-plan living area (no dishwasher or washing machine)

•an out-door warm water shower

•a separate covered outdoor braai area

Things to do:

A short path leads to a sandy beach, an ideal place where children can play and swim at high tide

During low tide one can walk along the great expanse of sandy banks of the tidal river that leads to the sea

Boating, canoeing, sailing, surfing and kite-surfing (one of the ten best areas for kite-surfing in the world)

Skiing and other water sports can be enjoyed on the upper reaches of the river.

A paradise for fishing/angling and fly-fishing

It is possible to dig for blood worms and pink prawns in the sand in front of the house

Bird watching

St. Sebastian’s Bay is one of the most popular whale watching areas in the country. The best time of the year would be from June to September.

Important information:

Travel time from Cape Town is three and a half hours. This includes an hour’s drive on a dirt road from Swellendam.

Please bring all groceries and other necessities.

There are NO SHOPS, MEDICAL PRACTICES OR ENTERTAINMENT in the area. However, there is a small bush-pub and shop (Bent Head) where a few provisions can be purchased.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS, LINEN AND PILLOWCASES.PILLOWS AND DUVETS ARE PROVIDED.

No television or Wi-Fi.

Visitors are dependent on rain water. Please use sparingly.

Pets: own bedding required. ( property is not fenced in)

No smoking indoors.

Cost:

A minimum cost of R2400 per day for the first six guests. Thereafter, R300 per person up to a maximum of eight guests.

There will be a hostess to open the gate and welcome you.
