It is such a secluded place; a real diamond. Everyone is so friendly.
A small and quiet place to get away

It is a very small town, quiet and safe. The beach is beautiful and there is good surfing, even in the summer. It is nice for walking your dog. There are not many people. The water is very cold, so bring a wet suit if you want to swim. Not much in the way of fine dining, just a few local restaurants. Rather far away from Cape Town, which can be an advantage. Traffic into Cape Town or to the airport can be slow.
Just beautiful!

Kommetjie has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. The view over Hout Bay is truly spectacular! It's worth a visit just for the views. We found the little town totally charming and unspoilt - very refreshing, but close enough if you need anything from the nearby mall. Enjoyed it very much.

We came from the Northern Suburbs to attended the Kommetjie Festival and enjoyed every moment. There was great music at the Fisherman and Helmsman Pubs and very nice overnight stay at the Milkwood Studio accommodation in Dreyer Street.
