Amazing place amidst the dunes

It may not be very big, but there's plenty to see and do. Walvis makes a wonderful base from which to explore the dunes, the coastline and also Swakopmund.
Want a real challenge? Try climbing the famous/infamous Dune 7, but give yourself a time-limit challenge! How fit are you really? I look forward to my next visit.

Dolphins, pelicans, flamingos, seals, whales, sharks and massive dunes characterize this offbeat harbour town experience. If you’re adventurous and outdoorsy there’s so much on offer. I recommend taking a boat cruise to see the amazing sea life; the Kuiseb quad bike tour; a guided 4x4 trip to Sandwich Harbour; and birdwatching around the lagoon and Bird Paradise.

A really neat and clean city with lovely architecture. It's great seeing all the flamingo's and is within easy distance of Swakopmund.
