About Players Restaurant and Bar
Players Restaurant & Bar underwent a major renovation in early 2012 improving the look and feel of all areas of the restaurant and bar. We have three bar areas, a full restaurant area and a brand new patio area to suit all types of functions.
At Players Restaurant & Bar we offer a relaxed atmosphere in beautiful surroundings overlooking the Riverclub’s golf driving range. We cater for small and big groups of people and our regular features include major sporting events shown on our big screens, Kurt Schoonraad’s Jou Ma se Comedy Club every Thursday night and monthly live music evenings.
Our patio areas are an ideal meeting place for your after work drinks and social gatherings with a wide selection of draught beer, fine wines and cocktail menus from our bar.
Players Restaurant & Bar recently launched its brand new menu with a wide variety of different dishes, ranging from golfers breakfasts to light meals, pizzas and a full a la carte lunch and dinner menu to select from.
We also have a variety of daily chef’s specials and our popular half prize pizza special runs every Monday. We have a tasty selection of buffet menus, platter options and set-menus for you to select from for functions, events and private parties. We are a popular venue for end of year work functions, birthday parties and all types of celebrations.
Bar Trading Hours:
Monday to Saturday: 8am until 10pm
Sundays and Public Holidays: 8am to 5:30pm
Directions to Players Restaurant and Bar
From the Parade in Cape Town City:• Head southeast on Darling Street towards Parade Street;
• Turn left onto Castle Street;
• Turn right onto Strand Street;
• Continue onto New market Street/R102;
• Continue to follow the R102 for 2 km;
• At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto Albert Raod/M57;
• Continue to follow the M57 for 1.9 km;
• Keep a slight laeft onto Station Road;
• Continue onto Observatory Road and your destination will be on the left-hand side.
