About Highlands Lodge Mountain Retreat
Highlands Lodge is situated in the beautiful Waboomskraal Valley, nearly halfway between Oudtshoorn and George on the N12. The lodge is a small mountain retreat in the Garden Route in the Outeniqua Mountains. The lodge has a very tranquil and natural atmosphere with ample bird life, large lawn areas and indigenous trees, making it a lush oasis. The lodge has 16 free-standing wooden log chalets. The chalets are self-catering, but service-on-demand is available on request. Each chalet has its own private entrance, open-plan kitchenette / living area and a braai area outside.
We have a jungle gym and swings for small kids. Some of our chalets also have bunk beds for children.

Important Information
*The cardholder & ID/Passport must be present at check-in.
*The credit card used for the online payment must be present at check-in.
A 60% deposit is required to secure a booking.
The balance of the booking is to be paid 7 days prior to arrival.
If a booking is made in less than 7 days prior to arrival, a 100% payment is required.
No refunds are given during high or peak seasons, school holidays, and Karoo or Oudtshoorn festivals.
Please report any damages immediately and prior to check-out.
To ensure that your full damage deposit is refunded, please note the following:
- Do not remove any furniture, cutlery, crockery, linen or towels from the
cabin.
- Do not use the cabin’s towels at the swimming pool
- Leave the cabin and braai area in acceptable condition
- Please take care not to get any makeup, sunscreen, hair dye, etc. on the
towels and bedding provided in the cabins.
- Braaiing (barbecue) is only allowed outside (not in the fireplace inside)
No pets are permitted.
No smoking is allowed inside the cabins.
