Important Information

A 50% deposit is required to secure the booking.
Please note that we cannot hold any dates, without a deposit. Availability is subject to change.
The remaining amount and security deposit are required at least seven days prior to the occupation of the unit.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS: 6

ONLY SMALL HOUSE-TRAINED DOGS ARE ALLOWED!

MINIMUM NIGHTS STAY:

All bookings require a 2-night min stay, Easter min 3 nights, Dec and Jan min 5 nights.

BREAKAGE DEPOSIT, to be refunded to you:

R1500 for any booking up to 4 nights

R2500 for a stay of 5 nights or more

The caretaker may access the unit at any reasonable time of day. Please report any breakages or missing items to her. Please point out anything you see that is broken to her during your stay to avoid misunderstandings after your departure. Please email us with your banking details once you have departed and we will transfer your deposit back within 2 days.


BEACH:

The property is perfectly located near the main beaches. Mtunzini has a beautiful lagoon and un netted shore line, swimming is possible at the main beach but please take note of the No Swimming notice boards in the area.

BACK UP SOLAR POWER

This property is fitted with a 3kVA Solar Inverter and Back Up Battery system. Please note that during loadshedding or prolonged power outages the Airconditioners may not be used at all. The Back Up Power supply is only for essential items such as lights, plugs, TV and WiFI. The Stove, Geyser, Refrigerator, Microwave and Kettle will not work during Loadshedding. There a small Gas Braai and Gas Burner in the kitchen for emergency circumstances. The Back Up power supply will keep your lights and essentials on for a maximum of 4 hours. With full sun powering the system your essentials should stay on for the entire day.

WIFI:

Uncapped.

NETFLIX / Showmax and DsTV is available on online streaming services.


SHOPS / RESTAURANTS / EMERGENCY :

Mtunzini has plenty beautiful restaurants and takeaways. There is a SPAR, a Butchery and a 24h Filling Station in the town.
We have a doctor, 24Hour Medical Emergancy MEPS services, a vet and a dentist in town. You will find all of this situated in the main street of Mtunzini and at the King Fisher Square Mall.


PETS:

Only small dogs are welcome. The property is walled and fenced so your furry friends should be safe, however, the yard is not big enough to accommodate large animals. Please kindly keep all pets safe, quiet and off the beds and furniture! We will not take any responsibility for the losses of or accidental injuries to any animals or humans during your stay. Please do not encourage your animals to become aggressive towards the vervet monkeys. Do not feed the monkeys and keep your windows and doors closed when you are not at home to avoid invasion from them. If they see anything left around, they will most likely try to gain access to the house to get to the food items.


ITEMS PROVIDED:

The house has 3 bedrooms and is equipped with basics for 6 people (bedding, chairs, crockery, cutlery etc.)


ITEMS OF PERSONAL USE:

Such a beach towels, bath towels, toiletries, toilet paper, tea/coffee etc. are not provided.


CLEANING AND COOKING:

Should you wish for a caretaker to service the unit daily , you can arrange above with me directly at a rate of R 250 per day. This unit is self catering only.


HOUSE RULES:

We do not allow functions or loud music as this would disturb the neighbours. A maximum of 6 people are permitted to sleep at the unit. No loud noise after 9pm please. There is parking available for 2 cars.


JACUZZI

The Jacuzzi will be filled with clean water before your arrival. Due to the current drought we are experiencing in KZN, the Jacuzzi water can only be replaced every 5th day. Very sorry for the inconvenience! No bath products or sunlight soap are allowed in the Jacuzzi. The heater and jets can run for 4 hours at a time (2 hours break in between).

During the cooler months (April – October), when the water and ambient temperature is below 22 degrees, the water will not heat up sufficiently for use. Please keep this in mind as we know that the Jacuzzi is a drawing card for tenants and we would like to avoid disappointment.


SECURITY:

Although we have been lucky enough to not have had any security issues we would still recommend you lock up the house before you go out and at night. There is electric fencing around the entire property with an electric remote gate access through the main entrance. Mtunzini is a very safe and secure village, Alpha Security is the main security company. The whole village is under 24 hour security servalance with only one main entrance in and out of the town.


ELDERLY OR DISABLED:

This property’s bathrooms are equipped with handrails to accommodate the elderly. There are no stairs in the house and easy access into the front door through the garage for wheelchair access.


CANCELLATION POLICY:

More than 48 hours before check-in 50% deposit refund
More than 7 days before check-in 100% deposit refund


CHECK IN AT 13:00 PM & CHECK OUT TIME:10:00

We are happy for you to check in earlier or depart later when possible. You can confirm this with us approx 2 days prior to your arrival.


IMPORTANT:

Unfortunately, there will be no refunds or reductions in rates for influences beyond our control such as general power outages or water shortages in the area, bad weather etc.

We will take the receipt of your deposit as confirmation that ALL the above info has been read, understood and accepted.


KEYS:

Arrangements will be made to hand over and collect the keys upon arrival and departure.
