You are assured of an excellent game viewing experience. During the annual migration, various crossing points are easily accessible from Sentinel.
The camp itself is set up along the Mara River with wonderful birdlife and the private and natural setting ensures that guests have a most enjoyable and authentic experience of the bush. Being on high banks above the Mara River means that there are always hippo and crocodile in the river below to be seen with other animals coming to drink or cross the river at times.
The secluded luxury tented Eco-camp is set up in an exceptional location in a forest on the banks of the Mara River. This ensures that guests derive maximum pleasure from their natural surroundings and the abundance of wildlife. Spacious tents with en suite porcelain toilets and hot showers are tucked away in the forest. Each tent along the river is tastefully furnished with campaign furniture to capture the romance and adventure of a bygone era.Wi-Fi, as well as charging facilities, are available in the lounge tents
At the center of the camp with its amazing view are the well-appointed dining and two lounge tents with an area where you can sit around the campfire in the evenings.Whether in our dining tent watching hippo and crocodile in the river below, soaking up the untamed vistas during a bush breakfast or enjoying the romance of a starlit four-course dinner you will have a fine dining experience. Delicious and varied meals from fresh food are prepared daily by our chefs.
Our Eco-camp has no permanent structures and blends into the natural surroundings to enhance our guests’ experience of being in the wild. The seasonal nature of the camp which is taken down during the rainy seasons encourages rejuvenation of the vegetation. As members of EcoTourism (Kenya), we are committed to sustainable community-based conservation with local community elders receiving a portion of guests’ fees. Believing that the future of conservation is linked with local communities benefitting from tourism we employ members of the local community and facilitate authentic encounters with the Masai where their heritage, customs, and culture are shared.
In addition to time spent relaxing at the camp with the view the river and wildlife seen from this amazing location, there are several activities for guests to enjoy. Daily game drives can be complemented by guided bush walks in a nearby area with our naturalist or a bird walk in the forest around the precincts of the camp. We offer a long walk on the escarpment with amazing vistas of the savannah plains. The rate is inclusive of all 3 meals and teas, coffees, local beers, quality wines, snacks, spirits, and soft drinks. A dining and separate lounge with tents offers a wonderful view of crocodile and hippo that is just along the river. The onsite chef is also available to prepare tailor-made meals upon request.
